Kevin Sheppard's work experience includes various leadership roles in the healthcare industry. Kevin served as the Vice President of Operations, Clinical Services at Valley Health, where they oversaw multiple departments such as surgery, lab, pharmacy, imaging, respiratory, and rehabilitation services. Prior to that, they worked at Bon Secours Mercy Health, where they held positions such as Interim President of St. Mary's Hospital, Vice President of Integration, Interim CEO of St. Francis Medical Center, and Vice President of Ambulatory Services. In these roles, Kevin provided strategic and operational leadership, implemented growth and cost initiatives, and led the development and operation of different healthcare services. Kevin also served as the Vice President of Finance at Bon Secours Mercy Health, where they provided accounting and financial oversight. Before joining Bon Secours Mercy Health, Kevin worked as the Director of Finance at Baptist Health System and as a Controller at ReLife Rehabilitation.

Kevin Sheppard obtained a Master's Degree in Masters of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from The University of Alabama, attending from 1982 to 1987. Sheppard also holds a certification as a CPA from the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
