Mark Baker began their work experience in 1988 at O'Sullivan Corporation, where they served as the Manager of Engineering until 1993. In 1994, they joined Valley Health, initially working as the Director of Facilities Management until 2016. At Valley Health, they then took on the role of Vice President of Facilities Management & Safety, which they continue to hold.
Mark Baker received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Maryland, completing their education between the years 1984 and 1988.
