Stephen Rooks

Stephen Rooks currently serves as the director of respiratory therapy at Valley View Hospital, a position held since November 2014. In addition to this role, Rooks has been the chairman of the Space Coast Cardiopulmonary Conference since April 1994, overseeing one of Florida's most successful Respiratory Care conferences that attracts over 200 participants and 30 vendors. Previously, Rooks held the position of director of cardiovascular services at Health Central from March 2004 to March 2012, managing several departments including Respiratory Therapy and CardioPulmonary Rehab. Rooks also served as director of cardiopulmonary at Health First - Cape Canaveral from May 1992 to October 2003, responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic departments. Rooks earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Care Therapy/Therapist from the University of Central Florida from 1974 to 1979.
