Theresa L. Trivette

Theresa L. Trivette, DNP, RN, CENP, joined Valley Health as its Chief Nursing Executive (CNE) in October 2021. She serves on the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for leadership of all nursing functions across Valley Health.

Dr. Trivette has over 20 years of experience as a nurse. Since 2009, she has served in senior healthcare management positions, including chief nursing officer at Ballad Health in Tennessee, and at Advent Health in Tampa, Florida; associate vice president/chief patient safety officer at Advent Health in Tampa; and director of quality assessment and performance improvement at Wake Forest Baptist Health in North Carolina. In these positions, she improved nurse engagement, professional development and retention and led initiatives focused on quality, mortality, readmission, hospital-acquired infection, patient outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Trivette earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina; a Master of Science in Nursing from Gardner-Webb University; a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies/Healthcare from University of Maryland University College; and an Associate of Science in Nursing from the College of Southern Maryland. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders. She is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CLSSBB), the highest level of proficiency for collaborative method of process improvement and organizational change.
