Didier Hornet has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the oil and gas industry. Didier started their career in 1987 as a Project Manager at Dassault Aviation. Didier then joined Vallourec Oil & Gas UK Ltd in 1993 and held positions such as Marketing and Development Director, and later became the Managing Director. Didier continued their career at Vallourec, where they served as Managing Director - North America from 2004 to 2009, and then as Managing Director - OCTG Division from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, they joined the Group Management Committee at Vallourec as the Senior Vice President of OCTG Division, Eastern Hemisphere, North America. Didier later held various senior leadership roles in the company, including Executive Committee member and Head of Product Lines - Development and Innovation. Didier Hornet attended Harvard Business School, where they completed the AMP 176 program. Didier also studied at IFA-SciencesPo and obtained a certification as an Administrateur de Sociétés. In addition, Hornet pursued an MBA at IAE FRANCE - Écoles Universitaires de Management from 1992 to 1993. Their undergraduate education took place at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d'Aérotechnique, specializing in Aeronautics from 1981 to 1984.
