Michelle Nylander has extensive experience in engineering and management within the chemical and pulp industries. Currently serving as Technology Manager for the White Liquor Plant Technology Unit at Valmet since January 2021, Michelle also held the role of Senior Process Engineer. Prior to this, a tenure at Stora Enso from November 2017 to November 2020 included positions as Production Manager for Power, Recovery and Environment and Project Manager. Michelle previously worked at Valmet from May 2013 to November 2017 as a Process Engineer in both tissue mill engineering and recausticizing specialization. Earlier career experience includes a role as Process Engineer at ÅF AB from March 2008 to April 2013 and at Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper from January 2003 to September 2006. The academic background includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in 2003.
