Sami Riekkola

Sami Riekkola is currently the President Automation at Valmet. Prior to this, they were with Metso Automation Australia Ltd. from March 2002 to August 2004 where they were a Sr Customer Support Engineer. From August 2004 to March 2015, they were with Metso Automation as the Vice President, Central Eastern Europe. Before that, they were a Sr Project Engineer with Metso Automation from January 1998 to February 2002 where they worked on international delivery project engineering and commissioning in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Sami Riekkola graduated from Tampere University of Technology in 1965 with a degree in Automation Technology. Sami then went on to earn a Leadership & Management degree from IMD in 2018.

Sami Riekkola reports to Pasi Laine, President and CEO. They are on a team with Anu Salonsaari-Posti - SVP Marketing and Communications, Jari Vähäpesola - President Paper, and Kari Saarinen - CFO.
