Calvin Ma

Calvin Ma has extensive work experience in the legal and compliance field. Calvin recently joined Valon as a Senior Compliance Analyst, where they provide guidance and research on compliance-related matters and coordinates attorney review of customer-facing content. Prior to this, Calvin worked at CFAM Financial, LLC as a Legal and Compliance Coordinator for three years. In this role, they managed legal operations and coordinated compliance efforts.

Before joining CFAM Financial, LLC, Calvin worked at CIT Bank for almost ten years in various roles. As a Legal Specialist, they handled escalated litigation matters, including class action lawsuits and government/regulator inquiries. Calvin also supported research and preparation for audit, due diligence, and regulatory exams. In their previous role at CIT Bank, Calvin was responsible for managing default litigation matters and overseeing outside counsel performance.

Prior to joining CIT Bank, Calvin worked briefly at CIT Bank, N.A., fka OneWest Bank N.A., fka OneWest Bank, FSB as an Accounts Payable Specialist, where they streamlined invoice processing procedures and resolved billing issues.

Earlier in their career, Calvin worked as an Accounts Payable Specialist at Indymac Federal Bank, FSB and Indymac Bank. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Student Research Assistant at the Vascular Imaging Lab, University of Washington, where they assisted with records maintenance and research publication database management.

Calvin Ma attended the University of Washington from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Economics and Political Science.
