Jacob Waid is an experienced educational professional and performer currently serving as an Assistant Principal and Theatre Teacher at Valor Collegiate Academies since May 2020. Jacob has a diverse background in the arts, including roles as a Singer/Actor and Director as a self-employed artist since January 2014. Previous positions include Mansion Ambassador at Rosé Mansion, Drama Teacher at Marshall County High School, Development Coordinator for Paducah Symphony Orchestra, and Actor for Sight & Sound Theatres. Jacob holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Trevecca Nazarene University and multiple Bachelor's degrees from the University of Kentucky in Voice and Opera, as well as Vocal Performance/Opera.

Valor Collegiate Academies is the first diverse-by-design, public college preparatory charter school in Nashville, TN to serve a holistically diverse background of students. Founded with the mission to empower our diverse community to live inspired, purposeful lives, Valor currently serves 1,900 students across three schools in grades 5-12.
