Jeremy Summitt has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a High School English Teacher and previously as a Middle School Teacher at Valor Collegiate Academies since July 2017, where responsibilities included teaching sixth-grade English Language Arts and leading a House Team for three years to enhance cultural initiatives. Prior to this role, Jeremy taught fourth-grade literacy at Rocketship Public Schools from July 2015 to July 2017, developing comprehensive lesson plans and utilizing data analysis to support student growth. Additionally, Jeremy was a member of Teach For America during the same period, focusing on teaching elementary English and participating in professional development activities. Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Michigan, earned in 2015.

Valor Collegiate Academies is the first diverse-by-design, public college preparatory charter school in Nashville, TN to serve a holistically diverse background of students. Founded with the mission to empower our diverse community to live inspired, purposeful lives, Valor currently serves 1,900 students across three schools in grades 5-12.
