Doug Johnson has extensive experience as an executive recruiter, specializing in the software and technology industry. Doug has worked with top female executives and placed professionals in IT, software sales, product marketing, and technology roles. Doug has also focused on pre-IPO and venture-backed companies in the SaaS, cloud, supply chain, customer interaction, data analytics, and business intelligence software sectors. Doug has worked at Valor Partners since 2002 and is a trusted search partner for numerous technology companies. Additionally, they have served as a board member for Forte Foundation since 2021. Prior to Valor Partners, Doug worked as an executive recruiter for MRINetwork, where they specialized in sales and marketing professionals for software and technology companies. Doug worked with notable clients such as Microsoft, SAP, and JD Edwards. Doug also has experience as a sport psychology consultant, working with athletes to enhance their performance through mental training techniques. Before that, they worked as a tennis professional for USPTA & PTR.

Doug Johnson obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth from 1987 to 1991. Doug then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy University between 1992 and 1994.
