Jim Holifield

Jim Holifield is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer for Valparaiso Community Schools since July 2022. Previously, Jim held the position of Director of Finance at New Prairie United School Corporation from January 2017 to August 2022, where Jim earned IASBO certification as a Chief Business Officer in July 2017. Jim's background includes being a Business Manager at South Central School Corporation from June 2014 to March 2017, overseeing financial management and compliance. Earlier roles include Principal and Assistant Principal positions at New Prairie Middle School and North Judson-San Pierre Schools, respectively. Jim's career began as a Science Teacher, with positions at New Prairie United School Corporation and School City of Mishawaka. Jim holds an MBA from Purdue University and degrees in Education from Indiana University South Bend and Indiana University Bloomington.
