Brian Beckstrom

Brian Beckstrom, Mdiv, Dmin, currently serves as the Chief Mission Officer and Associate Vice President for Mission at Valparaiso University, where responsibilities include promoting and advancing the university's Lutheran mission and overseeing the Division of Calling and Spiritual Life. Previously, positions included Director of the Wartburg Accelerated Ministry Program, Dean of Spiritual Life, and Campus Pastor at Wartburg College and Wartburg Theological Seminary, involving teaching, preaching, and leadership development. Additional experience includes pastoring at Community of Grace Lutheran Church and various roles at Gustavus Adolphus College, such as Director of Church Relations and Admission Counselor. Brian is pursuing a Certificate in Non-Profit Executive Leadership at Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and holds a Doctor of Ministry in Congregational Mission and Leadership and an Mdiv in Religion from Luther Seminary, along with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College.
