Christina Cavinder

Christina Cavinder is an accomplished nursing professional with extensive experience in academic and clinical settings. As the Assistant Dean of Graduate Nursing and an Associate Professor at Valparaiso University since August 2011, Christina teaches both undergraduate and graduate nursing students, including a focus on health care leadership. Christina has also served as a Nurse Educator and Nurse Practitioner at Northwest Health--Porter since November 2016 and has played a pivotal role in managing high-risk deliveries and newborn care at La Porte Hospital and St. Anthony Hospital of Michigan City. With a solid background in neonatal intensive care at Memorial Hospital of South Bend and Elkhart General Hospital, Christina's expertise encompasses patient management in diverse healthcare environments. Christina holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Valparaiso University and advanced degrees in Nursing and Biology from established Indiana universities.
