José Luis Colomer Martorell has extensive experience in software development and architecture. José Luis started their career as a Junior Java EE Software Developer intern at Tecsisa in October 2013. José Luis then worked as a Java EE Software Engineer, developing a Secondary Meter Data Concentrator before the system Operator, using technologies like Oracle SQL, JSF Primefaces, Apache Camel, and Java.

In December 2015, José Luis transitioned to the role of a Scala Backend Developer at Tecsisa. Here, they were involved in the development and maintenance of an application suite for electricity retailing, implementing a microservice architecture using Scala, Akka, Play Framework, Spark, Cassandra, and Kafka. José Luis applied the CQRS and DDD patterns in some of these microservices.

In January 2018, José Luis took on the position of a Scala Software Architect at Tecsisa. In this role, they contributed to designing and developing the security infrastructure of the Kommodo platform based on OpenId Connect/OAuth2 standards, using technologies like Keycloak, Akka, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, and Play Framework. José Luis also worked on redesigning and developing a CQRS and process management library, as well as a Quoted DSL for transforming temporal series in a Big Data context, using Scala, Akka Streams, Cassandra, and Kafka.

Most recently, José Luis joined Valsea in October 2022 as a Scala Backend Developer.

José Luis Colomer Martorell completed their education from 2010 to 2015 at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, where they earned a degree in Grado en Ingeniería with a field of study in Ingeniería informática. Additionally, in February 2016, they obtained certifications in Functional programming course in Scala and Programación funcional en Scala from Habla Computing.
