David Draper

David Draper has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. David currently holds the position of Group SVP Delivery & Operations at Valtech, where they have been since October 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Managing Director and Head of Professional Services & Delivery at Valtech. In 2017, they briefly took on the role of Interim Managing Director.

Before joining Valtech, David held various positions at Agile Design Ltd., Objektum Ltd., Thales Underwater Systems, General Dynamics UK Ltd., and BAE Systems. These roles included being a Consultant/Owner, Senior Consultant, Integration Lead, and Software Technical Lead.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated expertise in agile methodologies and software engineering. David has been actively engaged in professional communities, contributing to conferences and promoting best practices. David's experience includes line management, staff development, project management, training, coaching, and product strategy.

David Draper earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of York between 1996 and 2000. David later obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The Open University Business School, completing their studies from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their degrees, David also holds various certifications including Fellow of BCS from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2016, NLP Master Practitioner from PPD Learning Ltd in 2013, NLP Practitioner from PPD Learning Ltd in 2011, Advanced Kanban Coaching from David Anderson Associates in 2009, Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in 2005, Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Engineering Council in 2004, Chartered IT Professional (CITP) from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2004, and MBCS from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in March 2004.
