Arné Grobbelaar

Arné Grobbelaar is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in technical mining management and consulting. Currently serving as the Manager Technical Mining at Valterra Platinum since May 2025, Arné previously held the same title at Anglo American from January 2023 to May 2025. Arné's career includes key roles such as Regional Solutions Manager Africa at Modular Mining and Principal Consultant Mining Engineering at Worley. Additionally, Arné has held managerial positions at Anglo American, Deswik, and BHP Billiton BECSA, focusing on mine planning and production planning. Arné holds an MBA from Stellenbosch University and a BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.
