Tom Hethmon

Tom Hethmon is a seasoned professional in risk management, health, safety, and environment (HSE) consulting with extensive experience across various industries. As Principal at HETHMON ASSOCIATES LLC since January 2024, Tom provides management services to high-risk industries, focusing on organizational excellence, risk management, and leadership development. Prior roles include Senior Manager of Risk & Safety Assurance at Anglo American and VP of Health & Safety at SSR Mining, where responsibilities included governance of global risk management functions. Tom also held executive positions at KGHM International Ltd. and Dyno Nobel Inc., and contributed to academia as Director of the Center for Mining Safety and Health Excellence at the University of Utah. Tom holds a BS in Kinesiology from UCLA and an MS in Health Science from California State University, Northridge.
