Winnie Nkoana

Winnie Nkoana is an experienced professional with a strong background in permitting systems and compliance across various industries. Currently serving as a Permitting Systems Specialist at Valterra Platinum since June 2025, Winnie coordinates the development and implementation of the Permitting Management System, ensuring data integrity and generating insights through analysis. Prior to this role, Winnie worked at Anglo American as a Permitting Systems Analyst, holding similar responsibilities. Winnie’s career also includes positions as an HSEQ Advisor and HSEQ Performance Analyst at Engen, where compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards was prioritized. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Trainee role at BHP Billiton and a Laboratory Demonstrator position at the University of Cape Town. Winnie holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and two degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Cape Town.
