Mika K.

Mika K. is an experienced professional in the field of security and information management, currently serving as a Ministerial Adviser in Public Sector ICT at Valtiovarainministeriö since May 2022, while also holding the position of Chairman of the Information Security Section. Previously, Mika K. was the Chief Security Officer at Suomen tulli – Finnish Customs from December 2017 to May 2022, overseeing the Security Unit. Earlier roles include teaching at Luksia and serving as Security Manager and Information Security Manager at Fennovoima, where responsibilities included corporate security and information security for significant projects like the Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant. Mika K. also held the position of Head of Information Security at the Ministry of the Interior prior to that. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from the University of Vaasa and a diploma in safety and security management from Aalto University. Additionally, Mika K. completed a Security Manager training program in early 2022.
