Styrmir Thor Bragason

Styrmir Thor Bragason is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in the travel and investment industries. Currently serving as General Manager at Valur since February 2024, Styrmir previously owned and operated Bakkagrandi, a private investment company, from September 2008 to February 2024. As a co-owner and CEO of Arctic Adventures Iceland from March 2015 to April 2023, Styrmir also held the role of Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at the same company. Additional entrepreneurial experience includes co-owning Extreme Iceland and Glacier Guides, as well as managing TREK Iceland as Managing Director from February 2014 to May 2018. Styrmir holds a Master of Science in Business/Managerial Economics from the University of Stirling and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing/Marketing Management from Háskóli Íslands.
