Ed Murphy is an accomplished chemical engineer with extensive experience in technology leadership and product development within the lubricants industry. Currently serving as the Director of Technology at Valvoline Global Operations, Ed oversees Grease Technology and Product Data Analytics teams, focusing on product development and differentiation for North American and global specialty greases. Previous roles include Director Technology at Valvoline Inc., where Ed led heavy-duty engine oil formulations and commercialization efforts across multiple regions, as well as managing the New Product Development Laboratory. Ed's professional background also includes significant contributions at DuPont, where achievements included process improvements and patent awards, along with a robust academic foundation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a Ph.D. and an MS in Chemical Engineering.
