Idris Kothari has an extensive work experience in the technology industry. Idris is currently the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Valyrian Systems Inc. where they lead the development of their proprietary Extreme Packet Processing (xP2) Engine. This engine allows for the real-time analysis and management of internet traffic at high speeds. Prior to this role, Idris co-founded and served as the Vice President of Engineering at Vasona Systems International LLC, a technology consulting company specializing in digital transformation services. Idris was responsible for the development of immersive software training programs and software resource management services. Earlier in their career, Idris co-founded Vertical Systems Inc., a technology company focused on secure guest-facing technologies for the hospitality industry. The company was later acquired by Uniguest. Additionally, they co-founded VPNet Technologies, a company that was acquired by Avaya Inc., a communications equipment company. Lastly, Idris was a co-founder and Vice President of Engineering at VIA Technologies, Inc., where they played a significant role in developing PC semiconductor products.

Idris Kothari completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology between 1968 and 1973. Following this, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, which they completed from 1973 to 1975. Additionally, Idris Kothari also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from NED University of Engineering and Technology; however, the specific years of completion for this degree are not provided.
