Egon Scheers

Egon Scheers has an extensive career in the insurance and financial industry. Egon is currently the Managing Director for the UK & Ireland at Van Ameyde Group since October 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Operations at the same company since January 2021. Before joining Van Ameyde Group, Egon worked at Nationale-Nederlanden for 8 years, where they held various senior management positions. Egon served as the Senior Manager for Non-life SME & Corporate from January 2018 to January 2021, and as the Senior Manager for Operations & Call from July 2013 to January 2018. Egon also worked at ING Nederland as the Manager for ING Verzekeren from January 2012 to July 2013, and at Nationale-Nederlanden as a Manager of Operations from January 2011 to January 2012. Egon started their career at ING as the Business Manager for Bancassurance from November 2008 to January 2011. Prior to ING, Egon was the Manager for Business Development at SRK Rechtsbijstand from October 2001 to November 2008, and a Jurist at Reaal from January 1998 to August 2001.

Egon Scheers has a diverse education history. In 1980, they attended Gymnasium Celeanum, where they completed their primary education. Egon then pursued higher education at Utrecht University from 1989 to 2000, earning a Master of Laws (LLM) degree. In 2014, Egon attended IMD for a short duration. Most recently, in 2022, they enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, where they focused on Artificial Intelligence and Business Strategies & Applications.
