Jana Hall

Jana Hall, Ph.D., M.B.A., is Chief Operations Officer at Van Andel Institute, a non-profit, independent, basic science organization in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Hall is responsible for Business Development, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities, Securities, Materials Management & Logistics.

Dr. Hall has nearly twenty years in research administration and operations management. Most recently she worked for two years as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science & Technology Fellow for the U.S Department of State where she addressed U.S. policy for the United Nations Education, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in the areas of biodiversity, climate, fresh water, oceans, geo-science, science education and engineering.

Between 1992 and 2010, Dr. Hall served as Director, Executive Director and Vice President for Hawaii Pacific Health, Honolulu, a non-profit healthcare network that includes four hospitals, more than 40 clinics, 1,300 physicians and 6,400 employees.
