Rob Hoffman

Rob Hoffman has 23 years of experience in IT security, with the past 15 years spent leading IT Security at SpartanNash. During their time there, they held a ISC2 security certification and focused on various areas of security such as internal organization, privacy and security policy development, risk assessment, identity and access management, threat and vulnerability management, and more. In 2020, Rob co-founded CyberSynergies, where they served as a principal consultant and focused on providing security leadership services and technical security consulting. Starting in 2023, Rob will be joining Van Andel Institute as the Director of Cyber Security.

Rob Hoffman earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University, from 2020 to 2026. Prior to that, they attended Grand Rapids Community College and obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree. In addition, they have obtained various certifications including "Balancing Multiple Roles as a Leader," "Leadership Foundations: Leadership Styles and Models," "Influencing Others," "Leadership Foundations (2013)," "Time Management Fundamentals," and they are also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
