Elise Ag Duwe

Elise AG Duwe is a Family Medicine Physician currently practicing at Van Diest Medical Center since July 2021, with prior experience as a PGY3 in Family Medicine at NEIMEF from July 2018 to June 2021 and as a PGY1 at the Northeast Iowa Family Medicine Education Foundation from June 2018 to July 2018. In addition, Elise served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Iowa State University from August 2017 to June 2018 and conducted research as a graduate research assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from May 2011 to July 2017, focusing on the relationship between illness representations, social support, and health literacy. Previous roles include summer school participant at the Indigenous Health and Wellness Initiative in 2014, Scholar at the Robert Graham Center in 2013, and various research and tutoring positions during undergraduate studies at The College of Wooster from 2005 to 2009 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005. Elise holds an MD/PhD in Sociology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Religious Studies from The College of Wooster.
