David Welch has over 30 years of experience in the sales and business development industry. David began their career in 1990 as Division Manager at Columbia Packaging, where they opened the Seattle Division and quickly developed a profitable customer base, creating a team that achieved year-over-year growth of 15% to 35%. David also achieved market leadership in sales of supplies and equipment to the seafood and software industries. In 2002, David became the Owner and Sales Manager at Columbia Packaging.
In 1999, David joined Unisource Global Solutions as Business Segment Manager for the NW Region Packaging Business, where they were responsible for a team of Sales and Customer Service Professionals producing $32 million in sales revenue. David also developed Amazon.
In 2007, David became the General Manager of the Volm Engineered Solutions Team, where they directed marketing, sales and engineering of packaging equipment systems for Volm in North America and developed new supplier relationships.
From 2013 to 2022, David worked at TOMRA Fresh Food as Senior Business Development Manager, managing the business development and commercial aspects of TOMRA Fresh Food technologies across all categories of the North American market. David also gathered NAM market development needs, summarized them to the NAM Executive Team, and communicated those needs with a single-voice to the Product Management teams.
Currently, David is the Sales and New Market Development Manager at Van Doren Sales, Inc.
David Welch attended Pasco High School from 1983-1985. David then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Experiential Learning with a Marketing emphasis from Eastern Washington University from 1985-1990. In 2004, they obtained a Private Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
