Jason Johnson

Jason Johnson currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Van ISD, overseeing the technology department which includes network employees and Instructional Technology Specialists. With a strong focus on innovation in education, Jason previously held the position of Director of Instructional Technology, where a 1:1 initiative incorporating iPads and Chromebooks was managed. Jason's experience includes as a Campus Principal and Assistant Principal, where management of relationships among teachers, students, parents, and the community was emphasized. Earlier roles in education included positions as a teacher and coach, highlighting a commitment to student excellence, as well as work in the City of Irving's Parks and Recreation department, where facility and event management were key responsibilities. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Public Administration and certifications in Educational Leadership and Administration.
