Bas de Vries

Bas de Vries is a dedicated professional currently serving as Vicevoorzitter at the Amsterdams Studenten Cabaret Festival since September 2023, where responsibilities include co-developing the festival's policy plan and fostering innovative ideas for improvement. Previously, Bas held the position of Hoofd Werving & Selectie, overseeing the selection process for six semi-finalists and managing communications with over 30 applicants. Additionally, Bas has held various hospitality roles across organizations such as Van Lanschot Kempen, Oracle, and De Nederlandsche Bank. A freelancer for YoungOnes from October 2019 to August 2023, Bas also completed a significant project in collaboration with the Gemeente Breda focused on youth and politics. Academically, Bas is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in International Relations & Organisations at Leiden University, having previously studied English language and literature through the CAE program and completed VWO at De Nassau SG Breda with a focus on Economics and Society.
