Mark Buitenhuis has extensive work experience in the banking industry. Mark is currently the Managing Director of the Dutch regional Private banking organization at Van Lanschot Kempen, focusing on wealth management for private banking clients and overseeing financing activities. Prior to their current role, they held various positions at Van Lanschot Bankiers, including Regional Director of Private Banking and Director of Private & Business Banking. Mark also has experience as a Manager in segment management and business banking. Mark started their career as a trainee at Van Lanschot Bankiers and worked their way up to become a Private Banker.

Mark Buitenhuis has an extensive education history. Mark obtained their Executive MBA from IMD in 2011-2012 and prior to that completed the Accelerated Executive Development Program (AEDP) from IMD in 2009-2010. In 2008, they participated in the Executive Development Program Van Lanschot at INSEAD. In terms of their undergraduate studies, they earned a degree in Dutch Law (mr) from Utrecht University in 1997-1999. Before that, they completed a program at Erasmus University Rotterdam, obtaining both a drs and master of science degree in Economics from 1992-1997. Mark began their educational journey at Randijk in 1985-1992, where they achieved their VWO. Lastly, they attended de schakel from 1981-1986.
