Mary Kate McGrath

Mary Kate McGrath has a diverse background in education, customer service, and crisis intervention. Currently serving as a Retail Scooper at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and a Special Education Paraeducator for The School District of Philadelphia since June 2022, Mary Kate combines practical experience with a commitment to special education, pursuing a Teaching Certification in Special Education K-12 at Eastern University. Previously, Mary Kate worked as an Assistant Teacher and Paraprofessional at Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) and volunteered as a Crisis Counselor for The Trevor Project. With roles in customer service at Wegmans Food Markets and Whole Foods Market, along with experience as a Corps Member at City Year and as a Certified Crisis Intervention Responder at Kristin Brooks Hope Center/IMAlive, Mary Kate demonstrates a strong dedication to community service and support for diverse populations. Mary Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Ursinus College.
