Hunter Buchheit

Hunter Buchheit is an emerging professional in the field of journalism and communications with a diverse range of experiences. Currently serving as a Freelance Writer for The Georgia Voice since January 2024, Hunter has also held multiple roles at VOX ATL, including Board of Directors member and Teen Staff Writer, since October 2020. Additionally, an internship with the Atlanta LGBTQ History Project commenced in July 2022, while serving as a Guest Service Coordinator at Van Michael Salon since June 2022. Hunter has been involved with the Georgia Youth Justice Coalition as a Narrative Strategist and in various communications roles from July 2022 to April 2024. A communications internship with Georgia Equality occurred from September 2023 to December 2023, and an internship with The Georgia Voice took place from June 2023 to November 2023. Hunter was also part of the National Multicultural Journalism Program (JCamp) 2023 Cohort through AAJA-Asia in July 2023. Educationally, Hunter is pursuing a degree at Emory University, expected to complete in May 2028, and has a High School Diploma from Walton High School, obtained in 2024.
