Dirk Knipping

Dirk Knipping is an accomplished professional in hydraulic engineering with extensive experience in project management and research. Since September 2012, Dirk has held the position of Project Engineer and Superintendent at Van Oord. Prior to this role, Dirk was a Junior Researcher at Deltares for a brief period in 2012, and earlier served as a Graduate Intern at both Deltares and the U.S. Geological Survey, focusing on extreme storm events and nourishment impacts using Bayesian Network approaches. Dirk's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, both from Delft University of Technology, complemented by research experience at CUJAE University in Havana, Cuba.
