Folkert Brand

Folkert Brand is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Engineering Manager for Offshore Wind at Van Oord since July 2021. Prior to this role, Folkert held the position of Engineering Project Manager at Royal IHC from July 2017 to July 2021, leading vessel conversion projects and modifications. From August 2010 to June 2017, Folkert worked at Heerema Marine Contractors, progressing from Structural Engineer to Lead Engineer Fabrication and ultimately Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included overseeing a 30-person design team and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of offshore riser structures. Folkert holds a Master’s degree in Ship and Offshore Construction, Subsea Engineering & Installation from Delft University of Technology, completed in 2010.
