Julian McDonald

Julian McDonald is an experienced professional in the fields of health, safety, and environmental management. Currently serving as a Regional QHSE Advisor at Ørsted since April 2025, Julian also holds the position of Environment, Health and Safety Manager for the Santos Barossa Project at Van Oord Offshore since October 2022. Additional roles at Van Oord Offshore include Offshore Project HSE Manager and Project Safety Manager, with a focus on various worldwide projects and oil and gas marine construction. Julian has contributed significantly as a Marine Senior Safety Manager, overseeing multiple dredging operations and safety initiatives for projects such as the HPX3 Expansion and Shell Export sealing replacement in Gabon. Other experience includes serving as an Offshore Senior HSE/Medic at Fugro and an HSE professional from January 2011 to January 2020. Julian McDonald holds a Diploma of Paramedical Science from CQU and QAS.
