Pieter van der Klis

Pieter van der Klis is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Design and Engineering Manager for the Constanta Phase 3 and 4 project in Romania at Van Oord since August 2022. Pieter has held various roles in the dredging and engineering sectors, including Chairman of the Environmental Commission at the European Dredging Association since 2012, and Engineering Manager positions at Femarn Belt Contractors, Van Oord, and ACPC JV. Notable projects include the Hail and Ghasha islands development in Abu Dhabi, a new port in Brazil, and multiple significant initiatives across the Middle East and Africa. Pieter obtained an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology between 1982 and 1988.
