Saloni Palkar

Saloni Palkar is a Senior Structural Engineer specializing in Offshore Wind at Van Oord since June 2021. Previously, Saloni conducted research as a PhD Candidate at Delft University of Technology, focusing on the fatigue of steel structures, particularly in the SCReen Joint Industry Project, aiming to improve fatigue life estimates for steel catenary risers. Prior experience includes roles as a Structural Engineer at Aker Solutions and L&T Valdel, where responsibilities involved the design and analysis of offshore steel structures, ensuring compliance with industry codes and conducting in-service assessments. Saloni holds a Master’s degree in Offshore Structural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute.
