Michael Van Pelt has over 47 years of experience in the construction industry, currently serving as the Director of Van Pelt Construction Services since November 1996. Prior to this role, Michael worked as a Project Superintendent at Lathrop Construction Associates, Inc. from January 1973 to January 1996. Michael's educational background includes studies at Pinole Valley High, Diablo Valley College, and completion of the Carpenters Apprenticeship School between 1972 and 1980.

When Van Pelt Construction Services (VPCS) opened our doors in 1996, principals Michael and Mark Van Pelt had a singular goal in mind. They wanted to provide Northern California with a superior level of service in the area of construction management. Since that time, we have enjoyed steady, carefully controlled growth and have built an impressive portfolio of satisfied clients within K-12 school districts, universities, colleges, healthcare and the private sector. VPCS also provides hourly consulting services, Inspector of Record services and bond program management. Additionally, we perform cost estimating and constructability reviews for several university campuses, K-12 school districts and architectural firms.
