Samantha Nielson

Samantha Nielson is a Certified Surgical Technologist currently employed at Vance Thompson Vision since May 2023, with previous experience in the same role at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center from August 2022 to May 2023. Samantha began their career at Vance Thompson Vision as a Sterilization Technician and progressed to Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and Research Coordinator from May 2016 to April 2022. Earlier, Samantha worked as a Tissue Recovery Technician at Dakota Lions Sight & Health from 2012 to 2016. Educational credentials include an Associate's degree in Surgical Technology from Southeast Tech (2020-2022) and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Spanish, and Religion from South Dakota State University, completed through the Honors College.
