Emi Wong is an Occupational Therapist currently employed at Vancouver Coastal Health since October 2023. Previously, Emi held the position of Student Occupational Therapist at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, contributing to inpatient and outpatient care, and at St. Michael’s Hospital, where functional assessments for older adults were implemented. As a Graduate Student Researcher at Women’s College Hospital, Emi collaborated on a qualitative study focused on transitions to self-management for young adults with chronic pain. Clinical externships at The Hospital for Sick Children allowed work with a variety of pediatric populations, while earlier roles as a rehabilitation assistant at Enable Occupational Therapy and a Joymaster at LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic emphasized evidence-based therapy and health education. Emi Wong holds a Master of Science in Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from The University of British Columbia, supplemented by a Diploma of Kinesiology from Langara College.
