Alikie Knight

Director, Venue Operations at Vancouver Convention Centre

Alikie Knight has extensive work experience in the event management and operations field. Alikie started their career in 2003 as an Event Fundraising Administrator at the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon. In 2005, they joined the Vancouver Convention Centre as an Event Manager and gradually progressed to roles such as Event Logistics Manager, Manager of Venue Operations, and Senior Manager of Venue Operations. Since March 2020, Alikie has been serving as the Director of Venue Operations at the Vancouver Convention Centre. In this role, they manage a large team responsible for event execution, health & safety, security & emergency response, logistics, exhibit services, and guest services operations.

Alikie Knight's education history begins in 1998 when they attended Capilano University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. Following this, in 2012 and 2013, they enrolled in the IAVM Venue Management School and successfully completed a two-year program specialized in Venue Management. Most recently, in 2019, they obtained a certification as an IAVM Certified Venue Professional, further expanding their expertise in the field of Venue Management.
