Ms. Elaine S. Kwandibens is an experienced professional with a diverse background in community advocacy, library services, and support work. As the owner of Loon+Sturgeon clan since May 2024, Ms. Kwandibens continues to provide community-driven services through Mino-bimaadiziwin Consulting, established in July 2014, which focuses on advocacy and mediation for First Nation band members. Current positions include Library Assistant at Vancouver Island Regional Library and Cultural Mentor with the Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness. Previous roles include Indigenous Outreach Worker with Island Health, support positions at Nuxalk Nation Womens Transition House, and community-focused roles with the Bella Coola Legal Advocacy Program and Bella Coola Community Support Society. Ms. Kwandibens holds a Bachelor of Arts in First Nations Studies and a mediation accreditation, further enhancing their skills in advocacy and community support.
