Steve Woods has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Steve began their career in the Canadian Armed Forces, where they held progressive senior Construction Engineering appointments and was responsible for infrastructure maintenance and real property management. Following their military career, they worked at the Coast Mountain Bus Company as the Director of Infrastructure and Environment. Steve then joined School District No. 72 as the Manager of Operations, overseeing facility maintenance and custodial services. Steve also served as the Energy Manager, implementing sustainability initiatives and achieving significant energy reduction targets. In their most recent roles, Steve worked at School District 72 as the Capital Planning and Project Manager and Vancouver Island Regional Library as the Divisional Manager for Facilities. Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, and facilities management skills.

Steve Woods has a diverse educational background that spans several institutions and disciplines. Steve first attended the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada from 1979 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Following this, they pursued further studies at the University of Manitoba from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Economics. Additionally, from 1994 to 1996, they attended the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada once again, this time earning a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering. More recently, Steve attended the University of Phoenix from 2008 to 2010, where they achieved a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Lastly, in their ongoing pursuit of professional development, they enrolled at the Building Owners and Managers Institute, where they are currently pursuing a Real Property Administrator degree with a focus on Building/Property Maintenance.
