Raymond Lai, CISSP, CCNP, has an extensive work experience in the field of information technology and communications. Raymond started their career at E-Comm 9-1-1 in 1999, where they served in various roles such as Voice Systems Technician, Network Technician, Senior Network Technician, and Network & Systems Security Administrator. In these roles, they were responsible for supporting mission-critical data networks and call centers for emergency services, as well as upgrading and maintaining telephony systems. Raymond then joined the Vancouver Police Department in 2016 as Manager of Infrastructure & Client Support Services, and later assumed the role of Director of Information Communications Technology in March 2022. With their strong technical expertise and leadership skills, Raymond has made valuable contributions to the organizations they have worked for.

Raymond Lai, CISSP, CCNP, obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computing Science from Simon Fraser University from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their degree, they have several certifications including ITIL V3 Foundation from Axelos obtained in May 2008, CCNP Security from Cisco obtained in November 2006, CISSP from ISC2 obtained in August 2004, and CCNP Routing & Switching from Cisco obtained in May 2003.
