Julia Morrison

Julia joined Vancouver Public Library in May 2018. She has over 20 years of experience in public sector, financial and management accounting, budgeting, regulatory reporting and audit management.

Prior to joining VPL, Julia spent ten years at the City of Vancouver, most recently as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis - Corporate and Community Support, working as a strategic senior finance partner for several City departments, and providing strategic financial decision making, support and advice for these groups. Prior to this, Julia worked for five years at Credential Financial and Ethical Funds in Vancouver, and before that she worked in various accounting and finance roles in New Zealand, England and Ireland.

Julia is a graduate of the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, and obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 1997.
