Raji is a lawyer practicing in the areas of constitutional and administrative law. She is the Director of Litigation at West Coast Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (West Coast LEAF), an organization dedicated to achieving substantive equality for women. Raji also serves on the board of the Access Pro Bono Society of British Columbia. She teaches upper level law courses at UVIC and UBC. A life-long library patron, Raji has fond memories of spending the summers squirrelled away in a corner at the public library in her hometown, Grande Prairie, Alberta.
