Michael Girard

Michael Girard has extensive experience in coaching goalkeepers at various levels. Currently serving as the MLS Academy Goalkeeper Coach for Vancouver Whitecaps FC since August 2018, Michael has held multiple roles within the organization, including Assistant Goalkeeper Coach and U14 Pre MLS Goalkeeper Coach. Michael's coaching background also includes a tenure as the Women's Soccer Goalkeeper Coach at The University of British Columbia from February 2019 to April 2023. Additionally, Michael worked as the Assistant Technical Director for The Port Moody Soccer Club and Head Goalkeeper Coach for Port Moody Soccer Club/Euro Pro Academy. Other notable positions include Goalkeeper Coach at Simon Smith Goalkeeping Academy and Women's Goalkeeper Coach at Capilano University. Michael's educational background includes attendance at Capilano University in 2016.
