Bill Wiggins is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in percussion and timpani performance. Since 1973, Bill has served as a Professor of Timpani and Percussion Emeritus at the Blair School of Music of Vanderbilt University and has held the position of Principal Timpani with the Peninsula Music Festival since August 1970. Bill's diverse background includes freelance musician and educator roles from 1973 to 2017 and previous tenure as Principal Timpani with the Nashville Symphony from 1969 to 2015. Bill was also involved with the Percussive Arts Society as a member, former board member, and host for the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC). Bill holds a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from George Peabody College for Teachers.
