John "Jeb" B. is currently a PhD student at Vanderbilt University, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science since August 2023. Prior to this, Jeb completed a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering at Auburn University, Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, in May 2023, where also served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the plasmonics and nanophotonics lab under Dr. Siyuan Dai. Jeb gained practical experience through internships at Boeing, contributing to materials process and physics engineering in two different placements, and worked as a Peer Academic Coach at Auburn University Honors College. Additionally, Jeb interned at Quest Engineering and Failure Analysis, Inc., focusing on research projects that included data analysis and engineering case management. Ongoing consulting work involves 3D scanning, coding, statistics, and data analysis.
